The MFWG is doing a second horror anthology featuring illustrations by Will Jacques.

Title: TBD
Theme: Ones who came before us–creatures, races, or monsters who always lived among us but we never knew
Word count: 5000 words max

Submissions are open for active members of MFWG and for non-members by invitation only.

Submission Close: January 31st, 2026
Estimated Publishing Date: Winter 2025-2026

Other requirements and limitations:
The writing must be original fiction. No AI generated work will be accepted.
No multiple submissions.
No simultaneous submissions.
All submissions should be critiqued by two other MFWG members before being submitted.

Payment: Authors will receive one print copy of the anthology.
